what is really required for a civil services aspirant......
we have many blogs to get various resources required to prepare for the civil services.
But I see few blogs which focuses on the mental strength required for an aspirant to take up the challenge of the mighty civil services exam.
Many of the students who were not able to withstand the pressure developed during the preparation, are taking thier lives unnecessarily, even though he/she have many other opportunities lying before them.
So as an aspirant we have to imbibe some qualities which help us to stay in the process of the preparation, even though we face various ups and downs during the preparation.
During the preparation we need to make small changes in our everday habits to overcome our weaknesses.
As vivekananda said "STRENGTH IS LIFE AND WEAKNESS IS DEATH".
So we need to be mentally strong during the preparation. But how can we make our mind stronger and stronger so that we can overcome the failures/fear of failure during the lengthy process of preparation. We need to notice one thing that success in civil services exams doesn't come in one or two days, it needs years of hardwork to enjoy the fruits of success.
I think its very difficult to get motivated after failure than after tasting success. We have to feel that, failure is a golden opportunity given by the almighty to look in to ourselves and to check where we actually are in the process of preparation ....
Spirituality is a best way to look in to ourselves.Knowing our inner strength is very much important for every human being.
In india we have enormous resources for developing spirituality in ones life.
We think spirituality is required only after retirement but not during our student life. But it is very much required for every aspiring youth of our country.
For example teachings of vivekananda are very useful in a students' life.but most of us do not pay much attention to them.
I think teachings of vivekananda are not only useful during our preparation but also to lead our life as an civil servant with excellence.
Through this blog I want to share a series of posts which throws some light on teachings of vivekananda and his disciples.
I personally suggest a collection of books called " YOUTH ARISE AWAKE" published by vivekananda institute of human excellence to start with for the beginners.
Also I recommend you to watch this below video.
